Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked DutchGroningen (12-10) was rolled over on the road by third ranked Belgian Okapi Aalst (19-7) 111-82 on Saturday. Aalst dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Groningen 's 36 and made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Groningen 37-26 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Aalst shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. American guard Dante Maddox Jr (188, college: Xavier) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Forward Siebe Ledegen (199-2003) chipped in 26 points (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). American forward Damian Forrest (206-2001, college: N.Alabama, agency: Players Group) produced 21 points (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and Danish forward Dane Erikstrup (208-2003, college: WSU) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aalst maintains third place with 19-7 record behind leader Antwerp. Loser Groningen keeps the tenth position with ten games lost.
